La-ti-Da "Pre Explorers"
(Preschool Music Program)
Collaborating with the preschool teachers integrating music into the preschool curriculum.
Classes meet once a week (45 mins) and are for preschoolers and their preschool teachers. The La-ti-Da teacher brings instruments, puppets, and props to teach developmentally appropriate aspects of music with the class and teacher(s.)
Children do a variety of activities ranging from pitch-matching, rhythmic accuracy, and music theory using language, melody, rhythm and movement. These musical "games" develope concentration, creativity and coordination in addition to math skills and more.
Children are exposed to a wide variety of music and instruments from around the world and are engaged in song, dance and instruments in a playful manner.
